Why This Set Matters
Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars was the first major company-wide crossover event in comics history.
Titania — created specifically for Secret Wars — makes her first card appearance in this set at sticker #129.
Only 563 total stickers have been graded by PSA across the entire set, with just 17 gem mint (PSA 10) copies — a 3%% gem rate. The tiny sticker format (1.25 x 1.75 inches) makes these difficult to grade well, and most were stuck into albums immediately.
The two most significant True Rookies in this set are Rogue (#79) and Kitty Pryde (#77) — both making their first trading card appearances. Rogue had debuted in Avengers Annual #10 (1981) and was already a fan favorite by 1984. Kitty Pryde had been an X-Men mainstay since 1980. Both characters would go on to become central figures in the X-Men franchise for decades, making these stickers some of the most historically significant cards in the entire Secret Wars set.
