Why This Set Matters
The German Connection
FX Schmid was a respected West German game and puzzle manufacturer. Marvel's European licensing push reached well beyond the UK.
Puzzle/Game Hybrid
FX Schmid specialized in puzzles and family games, suggesting this Marvel product may have had a puzzle or game component beyond simple trading cards.
Deep Dive
FX Schmid's 1977 Marvel Super Heroes product is one of the more obscure entries in the international vintage Marvel catalog. German-market collectibles from this era rarely crossed into North American or even British collector networks.
For today's collector, finding FX Schmid pieces in collector-grade condition requires patience and connections in the European collector community.
