The Cromolandia / Terrabusi Marvel Coleccion Superheroes album was produced in Argentina in 1980 by Terrabusi, the country's major biscuit and confectionery company. A second version of the cards was produced later. The two versions are identical on the front — the difference is entirely on the back. Knowing which version you have is critical for collectors, and grading companies have been treating them as a single set.

Original 1980 cards have a Terrabusi biscuit advertisement printed on the reverse — these were food packaging inserts, and the advertising was the point. Later reprinted cards have completely blank backs. The blank-back versions circulate widely and have been graded and sold as if they are 1980 originals. They are not. Always check the back of any Terrabusi card before purchase, whether raw or slabbed.

CGC, PSA, and other services have been encapsulating both the original ad-back cards AND the blank-back reprints under the same 'Argentina 1980' designation. This may lead to confusion. A collector purchasing a slabbed 'Terrabusi 1980' card cannot determine from the label alone whether it is a genuine original or a later blank-back production. We believe the ad-back version is the one with genuine 1980 vintage provenance.

Wolverine, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Storm, Banshee, Beast, Nighthawk, Snowbird, Vindicator, and Nova all appear — giving this set some of the deepest early X-Men card coverage of any product produced anywhere during this era. Wolverine's appearances here (#86, #190, #194, #195, #205, #210) are True Rookies, predating any dedicated English-language Wolverine card by several years.

Unlike any other Marvel product of the era, the Terrabusi album contained three distinct physical formats: standard cards, adhesive stickers, and circular pog-style discs. The pogs — featuring Wolverine, Storm, Banshee, Nighthawk, Nova, and Colossus — predate the 1990s pog collecting craze by over a decade and represent some of the rarest physical formats in vintage Marvel collecting.

Over 2,157 Terrabusi cards have been graded by PSA, but with a 0.97%% gem rate — only 21 cards in the entire population achieved PSA 10. Despite the large graded population, almost half grade below 8 — a testament to how roughly these food-product cards were handled.
